The Norfolk Women’s Marketing Awards

To celebrate the second anniversary of Norfolk Women’s Marketing Network, we wanted to shine a light on the talent of the wonderful community we’ve built together. Our first celebration event in September 2022 focussed on the journey of the organisers, our second will be all about the individuals without whom the community wouldn’t exist.

NWMN’s 3 values are Connect, Learn, and Empower – we hope these awards will empower our network, by giving them an opportunity to celebrate their successes, something that we’re all typically bad at doing.

There are 7 award categories, but one that means a great deal to our advisory board is The Star award.

What is The Star award?

This award will go to someone who embodies everything that Norfolk Women’s Marketing Network stands for, in particular, our 3 core values. The winner of this award will also be an advocate for good marketing, Norfolk, and women’s empowerment.

Unlike the other categories, the nominations for this award are closed to the public and will come solely from the Advisory Board. Each Advisory Board member can nominate one individual, meaning we will have up to 11 in total – the shortlist will then be judged by an external panel.

On a personal note, I experienced my first award nomination last year and, despite the fact I didn’t win, the feeling of recognition was so special. I really hope we can bring that same excitement to our community with the Norfolk Women’s Marketing Awards – everyone deserves to feel seen and appreciated for their hard work.
