A Time to Celebrate

The 12th meeting of the Norfolk Women’s Marketing Network was a time to celebrate a year of community and connection. A year after the launch of our monthly gatherings, it was an opportunity to escape the city for a wonderful evening of uplifting reflection and a heart-warming celebration at Barnham Broom.

All imagery was taken by the talented Beth Moseley Photography.

 A Time to Reflect

Sadly, as the event began, the devastating news about The Queen broke. So, before we reminisced on the network’s 12-month journey, we held a minute of silence to honour Her Majesty.

The Queen was an incredible woman whose inspiration spanned generations. Being surrounded by our wonderful community of kind, supportive and motivating women gave us time to reflect on everything she achieved during her extraordinary lifetime.

Celebrating a Year of Connection

Throughout the evening, the team shared memories of the past year, from when Grace posted her LinkedIn message to find like-minded people to the brilliant mentoring event in July. And true to form, Grace decided to shed a tear or two alongside the memories.

The last 12 months have been a year of discovery and learning for what began as one women’s idea and is now a thriving community of opportunities, learning, and connection. This little video sums up the warmth, smiles and positive vibes that ripple through the network and perfectly summarises what it means for people.

The next chapter

Peppered with enchanting music from the superbly talented Nyree Williams, the evening concluded with a taste of the next chapter for the NWMN. With a motivated team of 11 Board members, we now have the plans and people to take the community to the next level.

Over the next few months, more details will emerge about the programme of events and activities around our core values:

Connect

To continue with monthly informal networking. Providing a safe space to connect with like-minded people, be inspired by uplifting talks from community members and sample some excellent city-centre social spots.

Learn

To build an accessible programme of skill share events through talks, workshops, and panels discussion. Led by both industry experts and community members, the goals are to learn, share and grow.

Empower

To build on our growth and move to a chapter of empowerment. At an individual level, this equates to a sense of connection and confidence. And at a community level to be an active voice that campaigns for equality.

Whilst the Board will keep us driving forward, we need your help to bring it to life.  We want to give you what YOU want, so please talk to us. Let us know what you want to learn and whether you have a burning desire to share your expertise or experience.

Drop us an email, use the LinkedIn group or just grab us. And keep an eye on our socials and emails where we’ll ask for ideas, feedback, and people to get involved.

So, with the next chapter in mind, stay connected and watch this space!
