About the sponsor

Based in the fine city of Norwich, Yawn Marketing works with a wide variety of clients across the UK.
“We’ve helped 100 year old authorities to reexamine their strategic communications. We’ve launched startups and products and disrupted industries. We’ve guided forward-thinking SMEs as they discover new audiences and refresh their proposition. And we’ve taught not-for-profits to think digitally – and differently – for the first time.”

The Star 2023 winner

Shannon Rivers, SRC CIC

The following excerpt is from Shannon’s original nomination:

“Shannon is an advocate through and through. Their work promoting intersectional inclusion combined with their social media strategy consultancy means Shannon is such a great fit for the Star award, as she is emblematic of NWM: empowering every demographic of women, improving marketing, and using their collaborative, evidence-based approach to bring about positive change for women in Norfolk and beyond. She helps people learn how to be better and do better, and empowers individuals like me to demand better workplaces and create better marketing content.”
